And who would they be? If you're going to accuse people of being dishonest and having hidden agendas, name the names. Otherwise this is just emotionally charged innuendo. In the end, as has been debated ad nauseam on this list, this is a foreign policy issue. Not a city issue. And just because someone thinks thus, even a CM, it doesn't mean they support a war or that they think there is a Republican conspiracy at work at the State Capitol. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and sometimes a foreign policy issue is ... well .... just a foreign policy issue.
