The parents of Tyesha Edwards in December of 2002, started a nonprofit organization named the Tyesha Edwards Peace Project. The focus is prevention and will implement at least 10 strategies that have been mentioned on this list before. If you would like for me to forward more information on the organization to you, just e-mail me your request. On March 8th the Peace Project will host its first event called Skate For Peace. This event will bring the community together to have fun while promoting peace in our city. It is a fund-raiser event and all proceeds will go to support the Tyesha Edwards Peace Project. The Board of the Tyesha Edwards Peace Project is completely composed of family members. They are currently forming an advisory committee that will be composed of a number of professionals.
