What scares me about his statement is "tremendous sacrifices across the community", at 
what cost and what part of the community will have to sacrifice?  To me it sounds like 
he's willing to accept possible loss of life and or property to balance the budget...  

I understand that public works is just as important, but is public safety worth the 
sacrifice?
