The candlelight vigils in Minneapolis planned for Sunday, March 16 by MoveOn (the Democratic Party) are not antiwar protests, according to the MoveOn web site. If you do participate, please disregard the organizer's ban on antiwar signs and banners. Turn the funeral into a protest!

Please bring your own candles, a lighter, and a paper cup with a hole in the bottom for your candle, so the wax doesn't drip on your hand. This is not an anti-war rally, so all you need to bring is a candle and yourself. There will be no speeches or anti-war messages. The message of the vigil is to simply bring light to the darkness on the eve of potential war in Iraq. This is also a great opportunity to tell others about our great community. Please forward this to anyone who might be interested, and spread the word. The vigil will work with 2 people or 3000, but visualize with me if you will, a ring of light around the lake.
