Every year, Mpls residents are granted 6 vouchers to dump up to one ton of
trash without any additional cost.  All you need to do is call your garbage
service (612-673-2917) and tell them when you want to drop off your first
load.  Then you must haul the trash to a transfer station located just north
of Lake street and just East of Cedar (sorry, I don't know the address).
This is not nearly as convenient as packer trucks coming to your
neighborhood, but it does cost the same.

We don't get either program in the burbs.  I pay for my spring cleaning
annually.
