I suspect the war will start today roughly at the same time Bush is on TV (I believe that's 7 PM local time). It may be a bit earlier than that. With that in mind I thought I'd forward this info from www.antiwarcommittee.org:

In the event that Bush launches a military attack, the world will erupt in protest. Likewise here in the Twin Cites.

Here's the schedule of emergency response actions:

1. After the bombing begins, gather outside of Mayday Books. Bring your signs and chants. It'll be very ad hoc, but we'll invite the media. ((JM)I have trouble with this one. The bombing started over a decade ago and has never stopped. I read it to be after the war begins - which may well be with an even greater number of bombing sorties).

2. The first schoolday after the war begins, students across the country will Walk Out and participate in teach-ins. Click here for info on the Twin Cities Walk Out plan organized by U of MN Coalition Against War on Iraq.

3. The day it's first reported in the morning paper (probably the day after it begins), EMERGENCY PROTEST AND MARCH at 4:30pm at the Federal Building, 4th St & 4th Ave, downtown Mpls.

4. Within the first week of the start of the attacks, the AWC & the Twin Cities Campaign to Lift Sanctions will organize coordinated acts of civil disobedience to protest the war. Contact us for more info - ((JM)goto http://www.antiwarcommittee.org for contact info.)
