How very poignant, led by eighth graders, children at Field school held signs against a fence protesting this war. If there is any other sight that should make a grown person cry, that's the one. Who will the war hurt most? Shouldn't they speak out to say this is not good?
We all have got to learn to speak truth to power; from a child's point of view, all us adults are more powerful than they. Who better to tell than us, the adults in their world?
Our children do not want war. They are bright enough to know that it will be on TV, in the papers, talked about by all the adults, parents and siblings may not come back. They have a stake in this war--and it's huge.
