It would be easier to feel good abour our great humanitarian action if we had a 
history of taking
great humanitarian actions when it was for strictly humanitarian reasons.  As it 
happens, it
appears that we take action when morality and economics intersect.

In my mind, comparing Saddam to Hitler reduces the monstrosity of Hitler.
