I hope you don't think that us protesters have an illusions about who Saddam Hussein is, or how bad he is. The question is what to do about it. If the kids are taught how to think and taught their history, then they will realize that everyone in Minneapolis is affected by this awful war, from the money that is not there to help people who need it [federal cuts to Meals on Wheels which affect Minneapolis, etc.] to the increased cost of preventing terror. We haven't had any terrorist activities in Minneapolis -- or in the states since 9/11 -- and now we have to spend zillions for security -- including in Minneapolis, and yet we are cutting the firefighters and the police. The whole thing is crazy. And let's hope we don't get spit on when we have the nerve to leave our fair and secure town and see the rest of the world. I think these kids are smart enough to know that just because you hate someone and think they are terrible, you don't have to go in and bomb the civilians in their country.
