Mark Anderson responds:
Your argument here seems to be that carrying a gun makes life more dangerous
for the carrier, even police.  So maybe police shouldn't carry either?  I'd
have more respect for police arguing against civilians carrying guns if they
agreed that they shouldn't carry either.

This is a Minneapolis issue because this is where most of the resistance to
the "Shall issue" legislation is centered, and yet, ironically, this is
where we need it the most.  The police won't always be there, so we need to
be able to protect ourselves.
