Interesting: the black guy has been convicted, done his time, and been released from prison for accepting a bribe. The white guy who gave the bribe has yet to even face that charge in court, and is still living in his mansion in the suburbs. But as we all know, justice in America is color-blind. Yeah, sure!
From the Star Tribune article:
"Herron's new Lake Street office is near the businesses of Ortega and developer Basim Sabri, who was indicted on three counts of trying to bribe Herron. A judge dismissed the charges, saying there was no basis for federal jurisdiction. Prosecutors have appealed."
There's a lot of folks out there who would call Basim Sabri a person of color, so that kind of mutes the "white guy" argument.
It sure sounds like they're trying to prosecute him, too.
