David Piehl writes: Well, Brian got a very short sentence (which I think is justified given the facts), but more than that - remember that the charge against Brian was not bribery but extortion. Selwyn, who is Latino (what is white?), is not likely to face prosecution as the victim of extortion, though inspections harassed him out of several locations. The other "white" guy, who is Palestinian, involved in the case hasn't been prosecuted yet for offering Brian a bribe (which Brian did not accept) mostly because justice is for sale. Basim Sabri & his family have alot of money to pay lawyers to stay out of jail. I've heard that the feds expect a decision soon, though, and that the prosecution will continue. Time will tell.
