As long as this conversation is continuing, has anyone had a decent
shopping experience at a Cub that's located within a city limit.I find the
one at Lake & Minnehaha and the one in Midway-St. Paul really poor.
Disorganised, badly staffed, cluttered, even dirty. Kind of like K-Mart
ironically. I've found Rainbow ( now owned by K-Mart's bankrupting parant
company) vastly superior.
I'm just not sure Cub is the kind of maybe one-shot gamble a city
neighborhood should take. Maybe Sid Applebaum can be talked out of
retirement. He and his family ran some good stores. Hell, he can't be much
over ninety; probably up for some more challenges.
