Quote: We will be forming a committee of 11 people with in the next couple of weeks and we will announce our first meeting ASAP.

Vanessa:

Why not have the community pick the board members, since KMOJ does belong to the community. They claim, they are doing this for us, well, then let "us" the community decide and elect who we want in there as board members, since it is for the good of the community.

I personally like the "new" sound and welcome it. I cannot tell you how many times, I have had to switch stations because of the nonsense and dissing of "us" the community, that has went on during broadcast times. The new format of playing "all" kinds of music. Why can't we have a station that is exclusively african american?

Now on to say what I do like about the KMOJ. I like Lucille's Kitchen meetings; gospel music; and Let's Motivate talk show, by teens for teens; Job Announcements; and being very visible in the community, for the community and the PSA's, as they are at times really informative.

However, I believe that KMOJ should have a new home, and it is up to the station managers and board members to make that happen. If they can't do it, put people in there that will.

The stations board of directors has failed to secure funds to move the
station.

Vanessa:
In the past KMOJ has sought donations from the community, what happened to the funds that were collected? and has there been another donation drive asking the community for donations? I personally don't see anything wrong with this, KMOJ for the most part is very informative and keeps us in the abreast of issues affecting the community.
