I agree with Jon's assessment of Cub. The Cub in St. Anthony up on Silver
Lake Road is much better than the Lake Street outlet, and that one is owned
by someone who ran his own family grocery for years, so it's not truly a
"Cub"

Here's a thought: If Sid Applebaum wants to take a pass and no one can lure
a Pallucci into the grocery business, please see if one of the Sentyrs can
be talked into it. Keith might gather a consortium of businessmen and
approach them directly (after finding land, of course).

We had a Sentyrs at St. Anthony Shopping Plaza until the Quarry was built.
The store was wonderful and they coped with a less than wonderful building!
I *think* I remember that Rainbow (Applebaum or Fleming, I don't know) did
some sort of a trade with the Sentyr family involving the St. A. store and
the former Rainbow building on or just off (?) University in NE Minneapolis.

which is beside the point. What is on point is that this family is an
experienced middlesize grocer. They were good neighborhood grocers. I
understand they were also good employers.
