Does anyone else out there in southwest Minneapolis lament the pending
departure of the Southwest Journal for offices downtown? I know the
business reasons and I know it still will arrive on my porch every other
week. Yet I feel as if an important community institution is moving out
of the community.

The move suggests a trend. Within my memory, the Journal has moved
from 50th and Washburn to 32nd and Lyndale and now is headed downtown.
I've plotted this trajectory on my city map, and if it continues at the
same rate, the Journal will be published in Bottineau in about five
years.
