As the Minneapolis Community Development Agency continues to evaluate its
core business functions and look for ways to address declining resources,
its Residential Finance Department will no longer accept mortgage and home
improvement applications under its CityLiving Home Programs effective March
24, 2003. 


MULTIFAMILY HOUSING CONSTRUCTION ON THE RISE IN MINNEAPOLIS

Despite a lackluster economy, massive budget deficits and a war with Iraq,
multifamily housing construction is booming in Minneapolis. Seventy-three
units have closed and are under construction so far in 2003 and another
2,738 units have been approved for development.
