[Mpls] Bars and Boobs

I agree that Minneapolis has outgrown the cultural conditions under which we 
closed bars at 1am or 2am.  We let any other business that wants to to stay 
open if they can recover their costs.  We should do the same with bars 
UNLESS the police tell us that it will make their job impossible.  Maybe we 
could make a trade with bar owners. They get to close at their own whim, but 
they have to provide a couple of cots where really drunk patrons could sleep 
it off.

I DISAGREE with Mark Anderson.  Using "witch hunt" for reacting to Arlen 
Lindner is REALLY a misnomer.  A "witch hunt" involves reckless accusations 
of insidious, conspiratorial actions. Lindner's actions are on the public 
record and they are socially divisive.  He deserves what he gets, within 
reason, and it would be a MISTAKE to simply shrug and say "boys will be 
boys".  If I call a guy twice my size an insulting name and get hit, can you 
REALLY say my right to express my views have been denied me.  I said it.  It 
was dumb.  I got the consequences. I get to read dozens of times every month 
that people NOT in the favor of the conservatives should "take their 
medicine".  Well, why doesnt that apply to a guy who does dumb things like 
this?  Explain THAT to me, Mark, Mike, or anyone else.
