The "List" occasionally creates images that are absolutely hilarious. Such a funny one is Tom Welling's about Peter McLaughlin "Bullying" Lisa McDonald. Anyone who knows Lisa McDonald must have gotten a good belly laugh at that image. Tom apparently does not know what a "strong" woman truly is. Peter having a heated argument with Lisa I can well believe. But succeeding at bullying her, I do not think so! Peter may out weigh Lisa, but she out grits him. Down home we like to say, "It is not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog". While Peter might be a big Shepard who will bark back at you if you want to argue, Lisa is a terror of a terrier. When she gets a hold of a rat she don't let go. I love Peter, but if I have to choose someone to go into a tough bar or back alley with , I'm choosing Lisa.
I noticed that Lisa failed to mention where exactly she told Peter he could stick that suggestion. Tom's later suggestion that the only part of the project that is assured to be built is the part promised by McLaughlin is also fanciful. Tom, who exactly is Peter and where do you imagine he gets this awesome power to snap his fingers and have the fly over appear? Since Peter supports some of the affordable homeownership programs we have been fighting for I hope he snaps his fingers a little more often. I think though that Wells Fargo, MnDOT, Pawlenty, Sabo and others have the real power in this situation. Peter McLaughlin and Lisa McDonald will hopefully get to debate the issue in front of the public during the upcoming Mayoral campaign. They are the two who seem to be most talked about for the next election. Should be a fun election when you throw in the present Mayor and Stenglein. We just have to figure out which one will keep the majority of their campaign promises. Jim Graham, Ventura Village P.S. When terms such as "Liar" could be answered across a blade or a pistol they were probably way less used. Now days they receive little more than a slap on the illusionary wrist by the "List" manager. Just because two people see things differently does not mean that one "is" a liar. Of course that may depend on what one means by "is"! >"Crickets, if you can be patient in one moment of anger, > you may avoid a hundred days of sorrow. In swallowing >of one ounce of pride, you may allow the creation of >several pounds of happiness." - Toe TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1. Don't feed the troll! Ignore obvious flame-bait. 2.
