Barb Lickness:

I agree with Ms. McCandless on this one. When they're done at Anne's house send them my way. The house next door to me could be the site of the next Survivor!

Vanessa Say's: How dare the people on the list, speak out of both-sides of the necks. In one instance you speak about community this or that..the next it like saying get a rope... As I mentioned during my speech back on Dec 9th, 2002. (at the DFL convention) To help the community, one "HAS" to look at the underlying issues that affect them. Have you ever thought that the neighbors don't have a lawnmower, and have no resources to gain one???

Barb also say's: I'd mow it myself but there's so much stuff in the yard I would be afraid it would wreck my mower.

Vanessa Say's: Now isn't that some bs, maybe you could pick up the rocks etc... or even ask the neighbor if they need to borrow your mower, I got it! maybe you can knock on the door and ask if they need help with their lawn... Now that is true community in progress....

My grass is about 6' tall, and my mower has broken down, I know I'll get a summons. I have no resources to obtain another one. Sure enough in true Hawthorne Pride, a neighbor has asked if I would like to use their mower to cut my grass. ( Thank you Rick and Sue!) We will be doing the cutting this weekend. I have a broken door on my garage, can I fix it? "NO" why? no resources......so I have to sit and watch homeless people sleep in my garage until I can obtain some kind of help in Minneapolis..... and by the looks of the comments from people on this list, I can heard the mob coming to hang me....

How sad for the people without resources...........I guess community fit's to only those with resources. You know, like the haves and the have not's.....Gee whiz... No wonder people don't vote or become involved....
