While I regularly disagree with Michael about the extent and import of NRP's alleged misdeeds, I must defend him here. Yes, there are larger wastes out there, but a local citizen has every right to criticize a local program he believes is wrong. Different people have different priorities. I am glad there are people focused on national, international and global problems. I am also glad they focus on things closer to home. I view it as diversity. (Also, Pentagon critiques, in general, are not appropriate for the Minneapolis-focused list.) One of the virtues of NRP - and indeed, of all Minneapolis-specific issues - is that they are literally closer to home, where we have more chance to observe them carefully ourselves. Michael, like many of us, has been directly involved in the NRP process. But if I believe NRP is good because it is close to home, I must also accept that other people differ. All I ask is that all sides prove their case when they make it. David Brauer King Field TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1. Don't feed the troll! Ignore obvious flame-bait. 2.
