It seems to me that Knapp's notion of "bloated governemnt that should be cut by the Republicans" & his use of the term "welfare state": put him a lot closer to the Republican or, at best Liberarian, ideas than the Green Party. Are Greens about a "common good"? or "every man for himself"? If one feels that the "real problems" we face is "bloated governemnt = wwelfare state", than Gov. Pawlenty's big cuts will be a blessing! Doesn't sound Green to me--or even progressive, frankly.
