We tried the Quarry Rainbow last night, reopened under new management.

On the good side, I saw plenty of familiar faces, so they kept staff on.
I'm still looking for some of my favorite people, but everyone can't be at
work at once.

The store has been scrubbed down but there hasn't been much rearranging, so
I didn't have to go hunting for what I wanted.

I appreciated not having to wait a week or drive the additional three miles
to Cub or Byerly's.

Downside: The shelves are not yet full.

Selection remains limited. The old story was that while the grocery store
had plenty of room for selling luggage, televisions, tableware and air
conditioners, they did not have enough space to add to the grocery
selection. For a long time I was buying my groceries at Q-R but my coffee
at Q-Target. I have enough luggage, so I took a pass on that one at both
places. Seasonal food treats were a better deal at Q-Target, but I wouldn't
have looked if I hadn't been there for my coffee.

I discovered that the cat food is still on the bottom shelves, but last
night there were two other people trying to read cat food cans by crawling
on the floor along the shelves. (##*&%!!! Bifocals!) Usually I'm doing
that by myself. There is still no place to complain about this (yes, I
called the old Rainbow office and got stiffed)

Prices seem higher to me. My daughter agreed. No specials yet, although
they may be saving those for a Grand Opening.

MAJOR DOWNSIDE: they took out self scanners! :(

So far, we seem to have taken a half step backwards.

2. If you don't like what's being discussed here, don't complain - change the subject
