On Thursday, June 26, at 7:00 p.m. at the Washburn Library, the Library Board will be holding a public meeting on their budget.  As we know from a previous post, Linden Hills Library is listed as one of the potential closings.

It seems incredible to me that after having gone extensive renovation and remodeling, that the Library Board would even consider closing Linden Hills after it has been reopened for about a year.  Prior to closing for renovation, Linden Hills Library was one of the most heavily used libraries in the system.  I don't know the current statistics, but I have to believe usage has only increased.  Linden Hills does a fabulous job with their children's section.  It would be a real shame for the neighborhood to lose that asset.

See you June 26 at the meeting to speak against the closing of the library in Linden Hills.
