Thank you Mr. Mayor for the commentary on General Mills. I am totally unaware of the entire list of goods deeds that General Mills has done for the City and the State. I only know that it appears endless. As we proceed into the summer, assuming our economy continues to be marginally successful at best, perhaps they can help on the unemployment front.
There is a company in Milwaukee called Quad Graphics. One of the many programs that they offer their employees is a private bus line. Quad is a large commercial printer in the suburbs of Milwaukee. They have their own bus line that runs from the inner city out to all of their plants. This cuts down on commutes, and creates jobs for the residents of Milwaukee. I have no idea what the hiring needs GM are going to be in the coming years. But perhaps this is a program that you could discuss with them. Good for the City, good for GM, and good for commuters on 394. TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1. Don't feed the troll! Ignore obvious flame-bait. 2. If you don't like what's being discussed here, don't complain - change the subject (Mpls-specific, of course.) ________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
