Thank you, Peter, for the plug for CUAPB. We certainly do log complaints of this nature and we are quite interested in this issue. Moreover, we are considering adding withholding of services as one of the categories in our class action lawsuit or possibly spinning it off into a separate legal action. The point of these legal actions is not money but to force changes. If ever something needs changing, it is this construct of "crime containment" areas that seem to be an unwritten part of police policy.

Our hotline number is 612-874-STOP.

Dennis,

My advice to you is to contact Michelle Gross and the good folks at
CUAPB. Not only do they take calls regarding acts of police brutality,
but they log complaints from citizens who have been refused police
protection.

I hope this problem becomes a major issue in our next city election. As
I've said before, the New Guard at City Hall has turned out to be
considerably worse than the Old Guard.

Shame on our Police Chief, the Police Federation, Mayor Rybak and our
current City Council.--------Peter Schmitz CARAG

TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1. Don't feed the troll! Ignore obvious flame-bait. 2. If you don't like what's being discussed here, don't complain - change the subject (Mpls-specific, of course.)
