Job Description: The director of Seward Neighborhood Group is responsible for providing leadership and day-to-day management to one of Minneapolis' oldest and most successful neighborhood organizations. Responsibilities include fundraising through membership development efforts, grants and accessing public funds for neighborhood organizing and development activities, staff and program management, staffing the board of directors and implementing the vision they set forth on behalf of the neighborhood.



Qualifications:
Successful management, fundraising, grant writing, budgeting and program development experience are required. Experience with grassroots, neighborhood or other non-profit organizations, personnel and volunteer management, event planning and public relations skills is desired. A bachelor's degree is preferred but can substitute with experience. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader who is inclusive, has exceptional communications skills and a passion for working with people.

Terms and benefits:
This is a full-time (40-hour/week), permanent position that requires some evening and weekend work. Three weeks of vacation is provided, plus two weeks of discretionary leave. Comprehensive health insurance and a pension benefit equal to 4% of salary is provided.
