Hello All, Fellow Northeasters may have heard about the Hollywood Theater redevelopment plan on Johnson Ave. The most recent plan in the works is restaurant similar to Bryant Lake Bowl, a movie theater/live stage, and housing (apartments)across the street in the vacant lot. (If there are details that I am forgetting, please correct me. . .)
Sounds great! However, someone has sent out a strange mailing to neighbors in the area warning folks to look out for the GAY BAR!!!! and the SUBSIDIZED HOUSING!!! moving to the neighborhood. Of course the mailing is unsigned. I live two blocks from the theater and am extremely excited about the whole thing, and hopefully people will investigate the facts behind this mailing before getting upset it.
