The theater is awaiting the loan approval by the bank. The developer (Gordon Awsumb) had hoped to be done sooner, but higher bids and complications set the date back. The City Council extended the development rights until June so things could get worked out (they were set to expire 12/31/2003) I have spoken with Kim Bartmann of the Bryant-Lake-Bowl and she is excited to begin the project (They're even looking into bottling water from the theater's artesian well).
The housing component that is partially financing the project is still on the drawing board as it is dependant upon the bank. I have heard that things could be smoothed out by mid-march and the theater project could begin by early May. We're all crossing our fingers.
