MJ, I would suggest that you check with a lawyer before 
giving false information to a police officer.  It might
just be violation of the law.  We recently had a councilmember
convicted of giving false information to the FBI. Instead, 
I suggest that you carry a small audio or video recorder with 
you.  The Truth is a more powerful weapon than falsehood.
