Hi,

My name is Shannon Gibney and I am associate editor of the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder. I am writing a story on the Internet and political activism for an upcoming edition and would appreciate any answers you could offer to the following questions:

1)       Do you think that activism takes place on the Internet (if so, how, and how does this play out locally)?

2)       How do you feel area African Americans and African American communities interact with and use the medium politically?

3)       What do you see as the possibilities for the future of the Internet, as far as its ability to mobilize disenfranchised people? What is the impact of the “digital divide,” and can we get past it?

Many thanks,

Shannon
