Please trim other members' comments from the bottom of your posts - digest readers (and the rest of us) don't need to wade through them again.
Quotes from earlier posts should only be left in yours if you're responding directly to something. Second point: If you post regularly in HTML-formatted email (the stuff that makes it look pretty), our list server will hold it until I manually release it. Why? First, the format can more easily transmit viruses. Also, the format has lots of extra characters that make reading for everyone else (especially digest readers) difficult. Unfortunately, AOL users are trapped posting in HTML - at least through version 8, it's the only way they'll let you do it. (Not sure about version 9, which I think was just released.) If you use an AOL address, there are 3 ways out that I know of: 1. Post from AOL's web gateway, www.aol.com. Others have proven this works, but it does require you to go to a second website. 2. Dump AOL. This would be my recommendation <grin>, but I understand you might not want to switch AOL addresses. 3. Find a free portal service (Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.) for your list address. Make sure they let you send plain text! Again, I know this requires going another place for list mail, but some like the filtering aspect (all list traffic to a discrete address). This is your call - AOL users can do nothing and will remain list members. But I thought old and new members would like to know why there's a delay in their posts showing up, and have some solutions around that. David Brauer List manager TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1. Don't feed the troll! Ignore obvious flame-bait. 2. If you don't like what's being discussed here, don't complain - change the subject (Mpls-specific, of course.) ________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Un-subscribe, etc. at: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
