[Mpls] Judges

I'm really glad the Strib has decided to cover this issue.  Pauline Thomas 
has been running a series of articles in the Spokesman about this issue for 
the last few months.  Part of her series has included responses of judges 
to a survey she sent.  However, a lot of judges have chosen not to answer 
the survey--which I take as a real slap in the face to the community.  I 
know I personally will not vote for any judge who is unwilling to even 
engage in dialogue with the community about the issues.  For more

some real gems.

For those who missed the story,  91% of the judges currently sitting in this
state were appointed.  Since judges seldom have challengers in the
elections, they win elections by default.  There is no way to vote them out
of office.
