Dennis Say's:

At this point in time, those in despair have their attention.
They're in the spotlight.... I challenge all those that aren't satisfied with sending 12 state troopers into Jordan as a solution to the deep-rooted problems of this and many other neighborhoods not only within our city, but within our country, to roll-up their sleeves and quit accusing those that have taken action with un-pure intentions and to become part of the solution.

Vanessa Say's:

Look I am not dissing Jordan, but there are other areas in the third-ward, that can use the power of elected officials to speak up for them as well. I thought the third ward, was a whole ward. Jordan is not the ward, and don't get me wrong, I am totally sadden by the shooting's in Jordan, but the violence is everywhere. To help one neighborhood and not the others only moves, the problem from place to place, only to have it end up back in the same place, it started from. Using more of our tax dollars calling the state troopers back.

Dennis, there was no disrespect intended toward Jordan, However, there are many other places in the city that require help, and really needing our public officials to speak out on their behalf as well. Fact is, the whole state trooper thing has been tried before, and if it didn't work then, how do you think it's going to work now, and in Jordan? Again, as I have stated all along, you have to go deeper, to make in impact. I do believe that in order to solve some problems you have to have a plan. What is the plan, after the troopers leave?

What's wrong with a plan, a agenda, trying to cure from deep within, instead of just picking at the crust. Crime and the root of crime is like an onion, it has layers, and until you get into the core of the problem, the problem is still there. Regardless on you look at it or attack it. Who want's a band-aid solution, only to have to re-look at the issue again and again.

Aren't we tried of spinning our wheel's, round and round, it's like trying to grab our tail. We should all be pretty sick of band-aids, and wanting something that can be measured in an outcome, a lasting solution. Now if your asking me, to be a part of a plan, so be it, I'm there. But, don't expect for me and my family to be happy for a band-aid fixes. It's not going to happen.

Vanessa Say's:
So, are we suppose to live with the state troopers forever, and or they going to solve all the deep-rooted problems such as: teen pregnancy; drug addiction; poverty; jobless parents. Wow! If they can solve all this, what a wonderful place this would be. But, since they are only the state troopers, maybe we should have other agencies helping to solve the deep-rooted problems, to heal our community.
