Interesting change in subject. I wasn't discussing integration,
I was discussing the achievement gap.  It should be obvious
to everyone that integration failed to narrow the achievement
gap.

My point is that most White parents in Minneapolis are not interested
in narrowing the achievement gap; that is, they are not interested
in the success of students of color as long as their children
have "good" schools.

I have always been suggesting more fundamental changes in the
educational system, not just shuffling students from one location
to another.  I agree with WizardMarks when she implied that bussing
provided only an illusion of integration.
