Yay! That is good news, and is especially welcome in a town more known for having bull-dozed most of its history into oblivion during the last 40 years than for its preservation efforts.

With the steadily enroaching St. Thomas Campus and the trend toward mega high-rises the area finally has some protection. I once worked at 12th and Harmon and I loved the quiet atmosphere and the walk-ability of the streets lined with pre-war apartments and old auto showrooms. My office was in a former Cadillac Dealership and sometimes when the wind blew right you could hear the children playing at the McPhail Center for the Arts. Thanks Lisa Goodman and the rest of the supporters.
