Good update on the issues facing the Jordan Neighborhood!
I, too, would like to see more African American and Asian-
American officers on the police force. Last night, I was
with V.J. Smith, President of MADDADS (http://www.maddadsnational.com) in South Mpls
on 20th and
Park Avenue because of a recent killing near the Peavey Park.
It was nice to see two uniformed officers on horseback, instead of policing inside
their cars. I feel more
officers on horseback and on police bikes in the toughest neighborhoods in the City of
Minneapolis make officers more visible as well as easier access to partol a particular
area.
