In fairness to all, I recommend reading the piece before passing overall
judgment. At least it's not a sleep-inducing story <grin>.

I think that's a fair point. I thought the smell of alcohol on the breath
was stronger proof than the bloodshot eyes; if that's what Peter and Jim
meant, sorry I missed it. I do strongly support the reporting that
questioned the denials of alcohol use.

This is where reading the story helps. The "Island" in question is the name
of the three grassy medians where people who are homeless sleep; it's their
name for the place.
