You may think Dyna has some rhetorical lumps coming for the way she's treated other people in the past (and I wouldn't argue the point), but the meanness of those who intimate she was "lying to us" about her ability to finance repairs on her house or who tell her to submit to the requirements of the Inspections Dept. and quit her woofing, says far more about them than about her. Maybe it's a nasty effect of the heat and drought we've experienced this summer, but several correspondents on this list seem to derive genuine pleasure from labeling others (whom in all likelihood they've never even met) in terms they themselves would find insupportable. I suggest that the best way to dramatize the dishonesty of your opponent's arguments is by forcing a comparison between them and the unvarnished truth; and that the best way to demonstrate the stupdity of your opponent's arguments is to force a contrast between them and the brilliance of your own intellectual productions. Be warned though: This may turn out to be very difficult to do, not because your opponents are what you think they are (i.e. dishonest and stupid), but because you are not all that you imagine yourself to be.
TEMPORARY REMINDER:
1. Don't feed the troll! Ignore obvious flame-bait.
2. If you don't like what's being discussed here, don't complain - change the subject (Mpls-specific, of course.)
