Once again, blinded by rigid views, the local effects of national politics
is not to be discussed here. David nips this in the bud as we enter the real
election season and try to examine the issues - the deficits, the Patriot
Act, the effect of tax cuts on state and local government and local
employment - as they descend on Minneapolis and all cities. Everything
talked about between now and November 2004 may well be directly related to
federal and state policy.
