I regret making a low comment here, about a fellow List member at the "Ballot" deal last night. Not only was it mean spirited; I completely exaggerated from nothing. All I can do is say I am sorry, now; and I am.
Further, I said the following (below): >>Don did not have time to explain the deepest paradigms of concentrated poverty, ignorance, neglect, abuse, and the default/illegal money making economy in the hood. He also did not tell these 'fortress neighborhood' habitues why they MUST really get involved in the matter of a problem neighborhood on the other side of the fortress wall. He appears a man of even, and pleasant, temperament. He didn't want to scare anybody with the raw reality; or alienate anyone by proving they are subject to consequences for conditions "over there".>> Obviously, I am not actually able to say why another person said, or did not say, anything. I made assumptions and I should have stated them in a different way. They are not huge assumptions; and I still believe them. I believe I should have framed them differently. And I apologize for that, Too. Perhaps my two yawns at the meeting should have been a warning to me to "sleep on it" and gather my thoughts in the morning. Keith Reitman NearNorth REMINDERS: 1.
