As a community paper, we choose to be precise. We always print addresses for businesses, local government bodies, organizations and people (most of the time, see below). By the way, when remodeling our home, I found lots of Minneapolis Stars and Tribunes from 1938 and they printed exact street addresses for people back then! The "2700 block of Blaisdell" principle usually only kicks in for two circumstances: 1. Crime reports. Best not to be too precise there, or you make a target. 2. When what we're talking about is an entire block. I'm tempted to go with USPS rules, but I would like to hear how the city does it. Thanks for all the input - lotta fellow nerds out there...
