Re. Eastside Food Co-op (EFC) address on Central. The address of the soon to open grocery store is 2551 Central which puts it at the inner-section of 26th and Central.
EFC does share the block with Holy Land Deli/Grocery and building space with Taystee Bread outlet ( I am sad to hear they are lonely in there). EFC is kitty corner to Frank's Dollar Store (lowest prices for milk & cigarettes- what a metaphor for life and death)and a 24 hour Walgreen's for the after-hour purchaser is down the block. And that's just one inner-section... >From Twinkies to to-fu, from halal goat tongue to organic kitska (Polish blood suasage), Central Ave. in Nordeast really comes close to having it all.
