The plan is to replace it with a new structure; in the context of a broader 4 block development plan. I am not at all fully aware of the implications of this plan for existing tenants of the strip center. I am sure that demolition means down time. It was further reported, elsewhere, that the large "Grocer/Tenant" of the strip center was involved in a multi issue dispute with management (the NRRC) regarding money claimed to be owed to NRRC for security provided, lease term and lease terms. With eviction filing possible, as reported, the dispute was far from friendly. The report I read was in a small, but well published periodical called The Sentinel. The periodical most often discusses West Broadway issues, and is, at least, highly opinionated (my observation). Others, on West Broadway, suggest that the periodical may unfairly blend news reporting, editorial opinion, and lack of fact checking. Perhaps I digress. I would add that I saw, and heard Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton, free and open, at Lucille's. I also watched, and listened in, at Al Mcfarlane's Radio Show, a terrific free speech forum; and was even a guest speaker there from time to time. Lucille's could come up to West Broadway where it belongs; again. Lucille had a little carry out place rented from the Katzsowitz brothers, and was my neighbor at Penn/Bro., years ago. I might even have the right location available, for sale or lease, on our "Avenue with the Most Potential, West Broadway". Keith Reitman NearNorth REMINDERS: 1. Think a member has violated the rules?
