Many seek voice on new Minneapolis schools superintendent

Now that the job of Minneapolis superintendent is
vacant again, all eyes will be on the school board
as it searches for a new leader.

The activists who took the board to task for its decision
to hire noneducator David Jennings without public input
want a seat at the table.

The Rev. Randolph Staten, co-chairman of the
Coalition of Black Churches, has indicated that he
wants to work with the board to ensure an open, fair
process.
