Having read what Michelle said about the assault victim, Im wondering where Dennis got HIS information. Who could provide such fatally flawed information? I sure hope it isnt one of our major NEWSPAPERS. I know they are biased towards the establishment, but I didnt know they had ALSO lost their professionalism to this degree. Did the source quote some OFFICIAL source. Or was it some kind of backchannel source not worthy to be quoted? Ill have to go back and look at the story in the newspaper.
Jennings
We were all witnesses to one of the saddest episodes of political lynching in Minneapolis history!
OMG, Clarence Thomas is on our list using a pseudonym! Jennings losing a post for which he is not QUALIFIED is a lynching. Boy those boys in Duluth were done an injustice. We called it ONLY a lynching! Im calling for a grand jury to look into a case of criminal hyperbole on this LIST.
Propaganda Abstention Training
Ive long favored the idea that schools should require that kids learn the nature and practices of propaganda. One of the surest ways of failing in life is to become a pawn of the Madison Avenue brainwashing industry. Why DONT schools try to teach this? Our economic establishment probably wont LET them. So we graduate one class after another of the people P.T. Barnum and H.L. Mencken knew were there to be conned.
Bigger Cities
Those are nice names. But will ANY of our suburbanites or Minneapolis residents move to ANY of them? Ive got ten bucks saying it will NEVER happen. What, and give up the twisted amusement of telling Minneapolis how WRONG it is? By the way, Im FROM Portland originally. But I wouldnt move there today. The place got infested with Californians after I left. And they have even MORE stringent limits on what you can do with land. Did you KNOW that? You dont like public regulation in Minneapolis. Go to Portland to find out what it is REALLY like. They, among ALL cities, dont buy the notion that once you own land, youre free to do whatever you want. In that sense, it is a silly choice in this context.
NAACP
Since Doug Mann is a life member of NAACP, I hope he gave his advice to the leaders FIRST.
Immigrants
I didnt SAY immigrants to Minneapolis brought ONLY problems. I just say it didnt really benefit Minneapolis on balance.
No kidding?
Heller: Anyone could get
immediate, lucrative employment by saying "I'm from Minneapolis." Minneapolitans were regarded as the most competent, the most honest, the most ethical, the most hardworking people in the Country.
Really? OK, now I would LOVE to see this backed up. I think this argument has crossed a line into the Land of Silly. Not that Minnesotans werent once that way. Most still are. But that they could go anywhere, announce where they are from, and get a job. I think correspondent Heller never GOT a job in the normal way, or she couldnt possibly allege this.
