Am I glad I moved to a townhouse with no alley if this is what my city fathers are dreaming up to save a buck. I bet Dan doesn't have an alley and that is why this harebrained scheme to save a buck makes sense to him. Bad, bad, bad idea Dan; and any of the rest of you city council that may get on that bandwagon. I lived in a city that did not plow alleys. My block pooled money and hired someone. Most of the city did this and it provided some work for plow persons. Cost was about $10-15 per house depending on how many actually contributed. Some on my block got a free ride. My council member had best not vote for this or I will vote against her.
As for R.T.'s promise of fixing our towing problem, he backed off of that one last year already. Guess the city was gonna lose too much money from all those tickets, and who knows how much the towers would lose out on. They must have one hell of a lobby in the city council and mayors office.
