Has anyone been to Pizza Luce downtown right after bar close lately? I was walking by there a while ago, and was told by police standing outside the place that I need to either get in line or get off that particular sidewalk. (And go across the street.)
I asked the officer if he had been hired by Pizza Luce to maintain an orderly line. Naturally, he didn't really appreciate my question, but informed me that he was on duty for the city. Now before everyone calls me naive, let me say that I am aware (VERY aware) of the fact that Pizza Luce is overrun by drunk and semi-drunk people at bar close. I see why an officer or two should definitely be in the area at that time. But why, oh why, must they be monitoring the line of people trying to get into a restaurant, (he actually yelled at someone for stopping to chat with a person in line, saying they can't "budge") and forcing everyone else to the other side of the street?
