Members, It brings me sadness to relay the death of list member Jude Poseley. I didn't know Jude that well, but I will remember her as a class act and a deeply committed member of the community. For example, we disagreed on the last mayor's race, but during the election season, when we met, she was always full of good humor and arch observations - it never seemed personal, as it can too often be in the political side of civic life.
As some may know, I ask those who unsubscribe to send me a brief note explaining why they did. The day before she died, Jude sent me an unsubscribe explanation that read simply: "Subscriber is incapacitated." I had no idea how close to death she was, but I remember her fondly today.
