Taxes: Collection and Spending
Marks:The second issue is how tax money gets spent. I think you're outta luck here, Jim. The city's first three jobs are fire, police, and public works. If you live anywhere in this country, you're gonna pay for at
least two of those. (I hear that some areas still have volunteer fire departments.) In any city, you pay all three.


Mork: The issue for ME isn't the collection of taxes. It isn't even the priority in the list of expenditures. It is the MIS-spending of it to make law enforcement feel "safe" when the JOB is to make the TAXPAYER feel safe. When cops attack taxpayers, the purpose of the largest expenditure is not being achieved. The city is LESS safe, and the money is wasted.
